a little bit of nothing

started the gymming regime with people from garage last weekend and it was pretty fun. too bad i dont have much chance to gym in camp (and the gym is worse than the toapayoh one). i must keep it up and hit the goals i set for myself. had dinner at Han's in novena sq after gym on sunday and it was great. the beef burger was so tasty and juicy. definitely must try!

i know i know. it's been some time since i last posted on any of my blogs. i've been rather busy. im pretty excited with the start of Garage Artiste programme and all the exciting plans we have made thus far. anybody knows where to buy posters of singers?

Happy Birthday! to many people. Myself (of course), my mum, and auntie jeldine. and very importantly Music Garage. Yesterday was the 2nd anniversary celebration for MG and we had a blasting time, from setting up and preparing to the party itself. Will post up some photos later but here's the gist of the story. Some of us performed on stage and i think all of us sang well (though i did wang ci at some point in time :P) Jae put some effort into creating his special moment but.. haha bro it's ok! Enjoyed myself tremendously and I think we should throw such parties more often. 

Still feeling damn sleepy. Shall take a nap before heading out for jamming.

Yesterday was damn fun! Haven't met up with "the family" for so long man, especially auntie jeldine who is back from the US. Had our really damn early bday celebration coz this is like probably the only time we can meet up before jel flies to indon and comes back again. Had our dinner at balcony and omgwtfbbq i saw MR GAN WAILEONG, MR RANDY PEH AND MR DIFEI there eating too! eh im not stringing my sentences coherently. think i need to go back and sleep some more.

Friggin phone. I hate it when my phone rings early in the morning (read: before 11am) - regardless of who you are and what you call me for. It deprives me of the chance to sleep in on weekends. @#$#%#^$ Be courteous and drop an sms first!

Had a blasting good time yesterday though im feeling washed out and bloody lazy to move now. Went jamming with the dudes again - i was seriously drowned out by the guitars *struggles to stay afloat* Then went down to orchard to meet softies for the vocalist hangout at 8. Pardon my suakuness.. i never knew there were such KTVs where the song database had so many english songs - from rock to rnb and oldies. Naise

An update: Somehow i managed to get my phone back from the police. so yeah my contacts are mostly intact.

Been not getting enough sleep lately. And that, is making me cranky. I was damn amused when i caught myself smirking when i stepped out camp in the afternoon today. I'm serious.. 41 is STILL driving me nuts despite my efforts to think of it as a nice place to be in HAHA. (i can already hear the echoes of agreement from my comrades). ABTF, ATEC, 4NTM, AHM. all that effort to make us feel like we are really defending mothersingapura. okok i know, such rants are more suitable for the ahmeedaze section in TRM, but i jz needed to get it off my chest.

When i stepped out of the cab, the phone slipped out of the pocket and landed on the seat. unwittingly, i slammed the door shut and realised a moment too late as i watched the cab zoom off into the distance, leaving me without a phone or any clue how to get it back.

dammit i lost my phone. pls update me with ur numbers thanks!

I bought this on my way home today. I shall put it at my area in the bunk to warn off the ppl who like to smoke indiscreetly in bunk.

Went to ToaPayoh Hub after lesson today to support Jae and John, or should i say, Jenuine? Yes that's their group name, and it rocks. the photos are in damn low res and also cropped randomly to remove unwanted pple like the videoman who was filming in front of us so if u want the originals jz ask me on msn.

And they are through to the next round! Give it up for our stars once again! Of course, this being my first time observing a Superband audition, i was pretty excited. We're also very happy to meet this auntie who was cheering and clapping along with us when Jenuine performed. She even kept assuring us that they would get in when the judges were giving comments! Looks like our stars are getting more and more supporters!

Ge Chuang's concert this year was damn good. I think at this rate, every year I will end up saying the same thing, but believe me, it is really a very well done production. The songs were good, nicely arranged and performed. Somehow, this years performers were more glam than the previous batches. And not to forget our zai fellow alumni Ruth who helped the juniors out. I'm impressed!

The ending was nostalgic, as our hui4 ge1 came on, memories of the times i spent with my ge chuang mates in j2 overwhelmed me, and i was momentarily transported back to the past. Of course, reality hit me hard in the face after i left the PAC, but who cares? Being able to relive the past, no matter how momentarily, is good enough.

It's amazing how the army alters one's ability to read and process words. I was doing guard the other day and here's what my sergeant had to say after looking through my mp3 player for a bit.

Him: "Eh, what song is this, can fei1?" - He literally read can in english and fei1 as in fly in chinese. wth. the correct name is can2 fei4. a chinese song.

I couldnt help laughing out loud when he saw another song on the list.

Him: "EHH! This one even better, ai4 zai3!?" ai4 zai3 is hokkien for must be steady/composed, something pple say to show that they are still calm under pressure at times. however, the real song title is ai4 zai4. a song by khalil fong. WTH.

A junior was telling me what she was going to study in college, and here's what she said:

To me, laziness is currently defined as a lack of time coupled with the lack of convenience. As such, I am too lazy to upload photos of the earplugs that I bought today. <-- sentence ambiguity. Does that mean that I'm lazy to upload the photos today, or that I bought the ear plugs today?

Actually, both are true. Maybe I will put them up next weekend. Damn superb, much better than those you can find at emart or the army market. Now I can sleep in peace at night when the "casino" operates through the night. "Vegas never sleeps!", a comment made by my bunk made regarding the situation of people gambling late into the night. Fortunately, the frequency of such nights has dwindled with the increasing tempo of saikang to do. Now I just need to find nose filters to filter out the smoke of their cigarettes. dammit this army thing is like man4 xing4 zi4 sha1. gradual suicide. or in this case murder, since the smoke and noise don't come from my own choice. 

Forgive the lack of proper titles.

I was at lunch with some friends yesterday and we somehow started on the topic of death. I have 10 burning questions.. When a person jumps of a building, does his life really flash through his mind? And does he feel the pain of the impact first or die first?

I know many of you must be going "Hey that's not 10 questions!" But it is. Trust me. In binary that's all. It's something i've learnt in the ahmee (the practical usage of binary, not the numeral system). Because everything is either a 1 (Yes sir) or 0 (No sir). if you answer "ermmm" or "uhhhh" when questioned, the system hangs and you probably get screwed for trying to "test the system"

So if any brilliant person reads this, please enlighten me. The best answer will be published and the winner gets a GRAND prize of 1010 cents! (that was in binary too, in case anyone got too excited :D)
